Thanks to Sean for taking pictures at our June promotions and open-house! When I have a moment (or quite a few) to adapt them to the site, I'll put up a page of "latest promotion photos" that we can keep changing as time passes!

Congratulations to Grandmaster Steve Anderson on the birth of his new baby daughter, Osha! (Pictures enroute we hope!)

It's been awhile since I did this, but thought I'd run through some of the "statistics" for the website now that we've had it up and running for four years! As you can see by the counter on the main page, we are approaching nearly 19,000 visitors to the website! By the way, those are "unique" visits as websites go about determining them - if you include all the times that many of you drop by to check out the latest news, or a schedule, or just to remind yourself of a technique list, we could populate a small city...

We have had visitors now from 61 identified countries. Visitors from our own military and government breakout just over the 1% mark. Not surprisingly, as technology forges ahead, the majority of folk now visiting are using Internet Explorer version 6 instead of version 5; fewer and fewer folk are using versions of Netscape or other browsers. Again, not surprisingly, Windows versions have steadily moved from 98 to 2000 to XP; Mac users are becoming rarer, at least in terms of visits. And "screen resolution" has moved steadily from low to high - the majority of our visitors now have a resolution of 1024 x 768 or more!

Tuesday is our most active day for visits, mostly late at night, Monday and Wednesday aren't far behind. More folk visit our site during the winter months than other ones, "cold weather surfing". Google sends the most folk to our site, with MSN, Yahoo and AOL not far behind. Roughly half the searches these days are specifically for "CHKA" as opposed to a year or so ago when they were for "chinese kenpo", "hawaiian kenpo", or just plain "kenpo"!  Our two biggest non-search engine referrers are MartialArtsNY.com and KenpoNet.com.

The biggest news is our new location. The Lexington Avenue venue just never quite worked for us, and as of the beginning of May, we have moved into a new space on East 10th Street. Drop by and check out the "new digs", and get out on the workout floor! Also take a look at "Gallery 7" in our photo section for some before and after pictures.
