August 26, 2006: Congratulations
on the entry into the world of two future CHKA-ers:
I'm told that sometime in recent
weeks, Brendan C & Robert S both have new sons.
Thanks also to Robert for the
redesign of the USDTKA blackbelt certificate!

April 7: From Shihan Augie B in Chicago:
Dan:
Both Sempai Steve Davis and Sandan Matt Altman competed at
this years USDKTA Chicago event and Matt took 2nd in forms
with Book set while Steve took 3rd in forms with Iron Horse.
This was a first as we introduced the Exclusive Kenpo Forms
Divisions. Extreme forms competitors were not allowed and
Kung Fu Grandmaster Joe Gangi took the honor of Center Judging
for this competition. All five judges scores were included.
Both guys had serious leaving Chicago plane concerns but come
Monday they both made it back to New York and on time for
classes at CHKA.

March 30: From Johan H, who used to train
with us at CHKA:
Hi Dan!
Congratulations to your blackbelt!!
I hope all is fine at the new school!
For me things are good. Since I got back to Sweden I have been
moving around a bit, but now me and Jeanette have settled in
Stockholm, where I got a position at the Royal Institute of
Technology, where I do a lot of research and some teaching, and
Jeanette got a good job as well.
I keep up my martial arts training, where I now practice
Shorinjikempo, which have some similarities with what we were
learning at CHKA. It is a good club, even though it is not as
good as CHKA of course... And I also try to keep up my CHKA
training.
The main news now is that we will be parents in May! I'm really
looking forward to that.
I miss NYC and you guys, and hopefully I'll have the opportunity
to visit you soon.
Give my best to Sifu and the rest of the CHKA family!!
/Johan
PS. The new brown belts look great on Jose and Maureen!!
