Any tournament wins, or awards you are
particularly proud of?
All of them! Peter Rogers
Tournament in '91, The Empire State Nationals in '91, The
Carver Classics in '93. At Carver is where I started really
knowing and feeling that I grew into my Kenpo training!
Why did you begin in Martial Arts?
I started in Martial arts
basically to learn how to protect myself and I continue to
learn and to protect and nurture others.
Why did you choose CHKA?
I was with Sifu Jack before there
was CHKA so I knew that I would learn from an instructor that
was skilled and compassionate about the art. There were no
magic formulas or potions just practice and more practice!
Anything you'd like to say about the
Martial Arts?
All Martial arts are great! And
realize that your art is you, what you create with your body,
think with your thoughts and convey with your words to others
makes a person and "artist!".
Outside of CHKA, what else is happening
in your life?
I am currently a self-employed
certified freelance personal trainer! I was a fitness manager
for NY Sports Clubs at the E 91st St.location. I was an
Acrobat with The Big Apple Circus, my troupe was called The
Back Street Flyers. I appeared as a Nunchaku wielding Ninja in
the group WuTang Clan's video "Da Mystery of Chessboxing". I
appeared as a Ninja with Taimak in a short film called "The
Company". I appeared as a Gymnast in Taka Boom's video "In The
Middle Of The Night". Hobbies are movies, music and biking!
